AUCTION OF PAINTINGS
On September 29th 2007 Belvedere Charity Inc. organized in Consulate General of the Republic of Poland Auctions of Paintings by Bogdan Kujawski. The main purpose of collecting money was help to quintuplets from Poland. They are 7 month-old kids from Poland, born premature. All of them: four girls and one boy had laser eye surgery and they require special care and expensive rehabilitation.
The musical feature of the event was Bartosz Hadala - he gave a great jazz performance.
During the auction all the pictures, were sold very quick and for good profit. The picture of Pope John Paul II painted by Bogdan Kujawski was sold for the greatest amount. Wellington Alves paid for it $2,500.
We received a total of almost $16,000 at the end of the auction.
It was our first auction in the Polish Consulate in New York under his guidance.
Thanks to all donations and the fund raising collected trough the auction we sent $7,535.00 to parents of polish quintuplets. On their behalf, we thank you for all your help and donations for them.
