ARTISTIC PICNIK
On June 2, 2007, Belvedere Charity Inc. organized our first outdoor party - Artistic Picnic "Belvedere." The main initiator was the President of Belvedere Charity Inc. - Ms. Mariola Zaremba. She decided to make the party after receiving a phone call from the parents of Ola Matejczuk. A 15 month-old girl from Poland, born with a heart condition. We collected money for her first operation during one of our previous events - Christmas Carol and Pastorals Concert. Ola requires one more cardio - surgery. The Hospital in Germany, despite earlier promises, will not help her to finance the surgery.
The artistic picnic took place in residence of Mariola Zaremba and Maciej Slusarczyk in Croton on Hudson, a beautiful green part of Weschester. The main attraction of this evening was performance of Cabaret "Prima Aprilis." There was also an auction of oil paints by Bogdan Kujawski, posters by Rafal Olbinski with artists autographs and antiques flea market.
Thanks to the funds collected through the auction, and sale of Foundation shirts, we sent $6,120 to Ola's parents. In their behalf, we thank you for all your help and donations for Ola.
